Each quarter, Duxbury House staff are nominated by their peers for the “Shining Star” award – an award that helps shine a light on our employees who are recognized as consistently going above and beyond the call of duty for our residents and fellow staff.
In the first two quarters of 2025, we are proud to recognize Yverline Gaston (Quarter 1) and Valdana Charlestin (Quarter 2) as our Shining Star Award recipients! They were nominated by their fellow associates and resident families via the following submissions:
Yverline:
“They are doing a spectacular job keeping resident rooms clean. A resident family came to me and commented how they always see her busy and how she cleans everything as ‘they would’ at home to ensure families that their loved one is safe!”
“Yverline has been a great fit for Duxbury House, and is always pleasant and helpful. She does an excellent job of keeping our community sparkling. She is always professional and gets along with everyone in all departments. She has a gentle way with residents, too.”
Valdana:
Working primarily the overnight and 3–11 shifts, Valdana’s dedication is often behind the scenes, but always felt. She knows her residents well, is faithful in her attendance, and rarely misses a punch-in. Her dependability and commitment make her an invaluable member of the Duxbury House team.
