Making the Move

Making the Move to Memory Care

Anxiety over “making the move” is often the biggest obstacle to enjoying the freedom and support a memory care community provides. Two of the biggest concerns are “who will move me” and “will all of my possessions fit into an apartment.” Duxbury House At The Village has the answers to both.

Easing the Transition to Senior Living

Making the transition to Duxbury House needn’t be overwhelming. Our professional team is here to help. They can assist you in identifying familiar items that can help your loved one better adapt to their new surroundings. Our memory care apartments are unfurnished, but our team is happy to arrange furnishing for you if that will ease the transition to Duxbury House.

Our two unique, memory care households Alden and Standish are designed to provide a homelike environment big enough for freedom of movement but small enough to keep residents from being overwhelmed. All of our staff are specially trained in working with those living with memory loss and you can be confident they will help ease the transition.
