Nurse
Overview
Duxbury House Memory Care Residence, part of Welch Senior Living’s trusted family of communities, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our care team. This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily nursing care and clinical oversight for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
- Monitor resident conditions, document changes, and communicate promptly with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in care plan development, resident assessments, and wellness reviews.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative environment for residents, families, and staff.
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations and community policies related to resident care and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to promoting dignity, safety, and quality of life for all residents.
Schedule
Per Diem; may include some weekends and holidays.
Resident Assistant
Overview
Duxbury House Memory Care Residence, part of Welch Senior Living’s family of communities, is seeking a compassionate and reliable Per Diem Resident Assistant to join our dedicated care team. Resident Assistants play an important role in supporting residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life in a warm and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents throughout the day.
- Support residents during mealtimes and social or recreational programs to promote engagement and well-being.
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment in accordance with community standards and infection control practices.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a high level of care and customer service for residents and their families.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Resident Assistant, CNA, or HHA in an assisted living or memory care setting preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and work effectively under the supervision of licensed nurses.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Must meet all state requirements for the role.
Schedule
Per diem; flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
